Overview

The company was established in 1964 in Mumbai. Since its establishment, the company has evolved from a small family business of Custom House Agents into a large integrated logistics service provider. Bhatia Shipping provides an entire gamut of services, viz. international freight forwarding, multimodal transportation, warehousing and customs brokerage. Personal involvement of the senior management in the day-to-day affairs of the company is a key philosophy of the company that has ensured consistency in the service delivery.

Our customers include 2 out of the 3 largest exporters of Western India as well as many other large Indian and MNC enterprises with global operations.

The quality-of-service delivery has always been a focus and the Company has had an ISO 9001-2015 certification since 2001, being one of the first ISO certified logistics companies in India, and we are AEO certified organisation since 2018.

The company has invested in custom-built ERP solutions to attend to all the customer's requirements & in turn provide total & customized shipping solutions.

Mr. Sailesh L. Bhatia - Managing Director

He has hands on experience of more than 35 years in the industry and has been instrumental in taking the company to new heights since his takeover.

He has worked closely with various trade associations and with Government Ministries to formulate policy and develop India’s logistics ecosystem.

Hubert Fernandes – Director

Having started his career with Bhatia Shipping, Hubert now has over 35 years of experience in logistics, customs broking and freight forwarding. He handles some of the largest shipper accounts across the country including large multinational companies.

Ashok Bissa – Director

Ashok has over 40 years of experience in customs broking and freight forwarding, currently leading operations for Bhatia Shipping at Mundra, one of the key gateway hubs to West and North India.
